As always, you can click on your team name to see your team’s full schedule.
All captains have been added to their teams. The rest of the players on each team will populate after the first night of play.
In preparation for the upcoming season, the website has undergone a series of updates.
The 2022 Archives page has been set up.
The Locations page has been updated.
The Officers and Grievance Committee did not change, so that page has been left as is.
The Tuesday Schedule and Standings page has been updated.
The Wednesday Schedule and Standings page has been updated.
The Captain’s List has been made current.
The Bullpen has no updates currently (if you’d like to add your name to the bullpen, please email djmichaelbasic@gmail.com with your full name, email, phone number and if you can play Tuesday, Wednesday, or Both.
Team and Individual Standings Pages has been prepared for league data (These will not properly populate until schedules are updated and first matches are played.)

Getting this season off the ground has been tricky for a number of reasons. Venues are becoming more scarce, and finding enough places to play that are close enough to each other has proved difficult. Angela has done an incredible job of sourcing a few new venues and we are finally ready to confirm September 27th and 28th as the official start dates of the 2022-2023 season of the Westside 8 Ball League.
Pete is finalizing the schedules and they will be posted here as soon as they are ready. Next week I will start working on the usual updates to the website to prepare for the new season. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to produce another smooth season.
Our end of season event capped off our post pandemic pool season yesterday with great attendance. We are excited to get back to a full season this September. No new rules or rule changes were voted in, the current officers were left in place, and all teams were paid out. A scotch doubles tournament was held with the following results:
As posted before, the following players thought they had paid their BCA fees through another league but that turns out not to be the case. As such, I’ve moved payments from league dues to BCA fees for the following:

As this was an abbreviated season, I’ll take short dues out of payout envelopes but I will not levy any fines. Next season the standard fines will apply. It’s always the same people that are short dues, and it causes many hours of extra work for me when doing the end of season accounting. There will be no leniency for short dues next season.
As noted, an 8th week of play was required to qualify for BCA. Thanks to everyone for being flexible in scheduling the extra week. For the sake of fairness, payouts and prizes will still be awarded based on the 7 week season, but now that this 8th week has been played the Wednesday night league is fully qualified for BCA. We will be having our end of season event on Sunday, May 29th at 2pm. The event will take place at the Scarlet Lady. There will be tacos, a tournament, and payout envelopes. We hope to see everyone there! If nobody from your team can attend, please let Angela know and we will leave your payout envelope at 90 West Lounge for pickup.
