League Starts Tonight!

The 2023-2024 season begins tonight!  A few reminders!

Weekly dues are $10 per person.  Team Registration fee is $80 total.  BCA fees are $20 per person.  A 4 man team should be paying $50 a piece tonight, or $200 total.

If anybody believes they have already paid their BCA registration for this season through another league, please include the name of the player and the league they paid through in the notes on the score sheet.

Please write in full names for everyone when its their first time playing.  This week that includes EVERYBODY.   After this week, that includes any regular player or sub whos first night of play it is.  If you don’t write down a last name for a sub, they will be considered a generic sub and stats will not be attributed to them, so if you or they want their stats kept up to date, make sure their last name is included.

If you are putting in extra money, please note what it’s for.  If a sub is playing, please check the box marked SUB on the score sheet.

If the Pea rule is invoked, it MUST be done before the 3rd game is played, and the Pea can ONLY be inserted in the 4th player’s spot.  If you aren’t sure if someone is coming, put them 4th so they can be replaced by the Pea if necessary.

Scoresheets MUST be texted or emailed to Mike after being signed by both captains and completely filled out on the night of play.  Failure to send score sheet images could delay updates for the entire league.  The phone number and email address to send score sheet images to is printed at the bottom of the score sheet.

Both nights have a 22 week season, which means for a player to full pay for the entire season, it’s $220 (weekly dues) + $20 (BCA) + $20 (team registration on a 4 person team) = $260.  You’ll see $960 owed dues next to each team, which includes the weekly dues and team registration fee.  BCA payments are found on the team page’s player roster.  As you pay, the $960 number goes down.

Have fun!

Turning In Score Sheets and Money

A number of Wednesday Night teams are turning in envelopes with only money inside.  Please turn in the score sheet as well.  The sheet must be folded up and placed inside the envelope with the money.  The physical score sheets are used to help track what has and has not been turned in, so when score sheets are not turned in along with the money, it not only makes tracking delinquent dues difficult, but also it makes sorting the money each week vastly more difficult, especially for week 1 when extra fees are turned in.

The 2017-2018 Season Starts Today!

The first Tuesday night matches will be played tonight, so here’s a reminder about how things go.

At the end of the night, the visiting team captain is required to take a picture of the completed score sheet and text it or email it to Mike Schwartz.  The phone number and email address are on the score sheet.  If you are the home team captain, please help to make sure the visiting team captain gets this done.

The dropoff locations are Gabe’s and 90 West.  Score sheets and money should be dropped off on the night of play, however, pickups usually happen the following Tuesday so if you can’t get the sheet turned in the night of play, as long as you get it turned in before the following Tuesday you’re fine.

Each team is required to turn in $40/week.  We don’t care who pays what, so if someone on your team doesn’t pay, you need to keep track of it, all we keep track of is total money in per team.  In addition to the $40/week, on the first night of play, each team is responsible for an $80 registration fee that covers team and player registration (including all future subs.)  This year, however, it was voted in at the captain’s meeting that our league would become BCA sanctioned, and as such, there is an additional $15/player BCA fee that must be payed by each player who plays for your team (including all future subs.)

This means, on the first night of play, a 4 man team should turn in $180 to cover all fees and dues.

Note that on the standings page for each night, there is a running total of what each team owes.  This running total does not include BCA fees as those are per player not per team.  I will come up with another place on the website to keep track of each player’s BCA fee status this week.

Reminder and Clarification

Hey all,

A couple of teams did not text or email me an image of their score sheet last night, so here’s a reminder that this is a requirement.  If you are the visiting team, you MUST text or email me an image of the score sheet before you turn it in.  If you are the home team, it is your job to help the visiting captain remember to do this as you are both signing the score sheet.

Also, a clarification.  The team registration fee is $80/team.  This is in addition to the weekly dues, so to pay everything off on the first night, you’ll need to put in $110.  It’s $110 instead of $120 because of the vote from the end of season event to give each team captain a $10 break on their weekly dues for the first week as a thank you for taking on the role of team captain.

Final Score Sheet Pickup

Sometime on the evening of Monday the 25th, I will stop by Brennan’s and Gabe’s one last time to pick up any outstanding scoresheets and/or dues.

If you owe any money, this is your last chance to turn it in before the end of season party, which will be on May 1st at Scarlet Lady Saloon at 2pm.

Here is a list of teams that still owe money:

Tuesday:

Cock & Bull 2:  $100 ($150 with fine)

Wednesday:

90 West 3:  $10 ($20 with fine)
Gabe’s 3:  $370 (fine to be determined)
Cozy Inn 2:  $200 ($250 with fine)

I’ve reached out to all of these teams, so nobody is in the dark about what they owe.  If fines end up being levied, they will go directly to league expenses, which normally comes out of the prize fund.  Bottom line is, fines will end up making their way into the prize fund.
